The Gala was a hit! The food was great, the company was awesome, the bar was busy! (I was helping the bartenders, so spent most of the evening stuck behind the bar)

Attention Grimm fans in the Portland and surrounding areas!

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is having a Gala coming up August 11! They wanted to do a Grimm theme this year, and they have Sasha Roiz as a special guest!

If you'd like to attend, you can find more information here.

Regular tickets are $125, VIP (which includes the after party) are $175.

My friend Nick and I will be volunteering to help with the event. Come and meet us, and Sasha, and support HRC! :D

So, I was writing this Grimm/Sentinel fusion where Nick ends up needing two Guides, and his two Guides are Renard and Monroe.

And then I got this idea of “Hey, what if Nick and Monroe were a platonic pair, and they both had a relationship on the side (Nick with Juliette, Monroe with Renard), but there were tensions between Renard wanting Monroe all to himself and having to share with Nick, and Juliette is totally cool with all of it, but also realizes Renard’s needs, and so she talks to Nick and Monroe about it, and then Nick talks to Renard (who may or may not be in fox form at the time of the conversation and bites Nick, because I like Renard as a fox, okay, it’s cute), and then the four of them sit down and talk, and they all decide it would just be best for everyone if they were in a foursome relationship where they all had sex with each other and everyone was happy.”

So now I’m writing that.

Haaaahahahaha. Okay. So.

KGW, one of the news networks in Portland, has what's called Live @ 7. Which is exactly what it sounds like.

At 7pm PST, they have someone in the Talk Box that they interview. Tonight Sasha was on for the second time. Stephanie Stricklen posted on twitter at about 3:45 and asked for questions.

I asked a couple, but she picked one. AND SO I WAS MADE SORT OF FAMOUS!!! Also, "monumental fan" describes me quite nicely ;)

FYI, my twitter name is beechercreature, for those reading who don't know. Heee!

So, I'd been wanting to draw or do digital art for Grimm (again, in the case of digital), for the sole purpose of sending the art to the actors and getting praised.

What.

But anyway, so I did some Renard digital art, instead of drawing my idea for a Pirate King Sasha (yep. I went there).

And then I sent it to him! And then it got put on his facebook page! Anxiously awaiting to hear what he says about it :)

I have all the episodes of Grimm on my computer now (yay, finally!), thanks to a new Twitter buddy I made today (yesterday) :)

What I need from all you Grimm fans:

Songs!

I need songs that make you think of the Nick/Renard pairing in particular, real or imagined (maybe a head-canon for them, or the different manifestations of their relationship in fanon).

More angsty, one-sided and pining, requited than non-con type things, please.

You can even suggest certain scenes or expressions you particularly want that would be perfect to go with the feel of the song (because seriously, 14 episodes, guys, I don't even know where to begin).

So, woke up this morning to a bunch of tweets from Grimm people celebrating that Grimm got picked up for a second season! Yay!

Apparently it's also the first NBC show to be picked up for next season, too, and it's for another 22-episode run.

Time to celebrate!!!

So, this is like half a week late. Because Nick and I actually met Sasha last Friday. But we got back to my place so late that I just went to bed, and then haven't posted because... I don't know why.

BUT HERE IT IS! Hopefully I don't forget anything. If I have, I'll run it by Nick and see if I left anything out (because he remembers things that I don't, and I remember things that he doesn't. together, we are a complete experience lol).

Just a fly-by post about my squee for tomorrow's Portland venture with Nick.

He called me while he was getting dinner to tell me that a few streets were blocked off for filming. It didn't say if it was for Grimm or Leverage, but here's hoping it's Grimm!

I'm bringing my camera and taking tons of pics, and I can't decide if I want to bring anything to sign, except I don't have anything to sign. *sad face*

I have a feeling I won't get much sleep tonight ;)

I was trying to find somewhere that I can download the seasons of Grimm, not as a torrent, and the place I thought would work out kept saying that RapidPro had expired. SADFACE

So I just decided to search for a place with screencaps again, because there just had to be somebody out there SOMEWHERE who had already gotten around to it.

LO AND BEHOLD!

I found this post, and now I have 2500+ caps EACH for all the episodes up to 9 (because hey, 10 was last night, and that kind of thing takes some time).

Eagerly awaiting the next set of caps to dl :D

Also, I don't like the sound of my voice, most the time. When I hear it recorded, I mean. It sounds fine to me when it's just in my head.

Spruced things up a bit in here. Made it more Grimm themed, my current show of choice (soshiny).

I have an addiction to making new usernames for new fandoms I join. Or something. But we won't get into that (just sweep it under the rug, theeeerrre you go).

ANYWAY.

I think I'll be making icons and capping and working on moodthemes soon. Gotta get my photoshopping butt in gear!

Nick, my gay hubby, has gone to Hawaii until the 8th, but he's coming back earlier than his parents. Which means I get to come over and spend the night.
